To become a BER Assessor for ALL Dwellings (i.e. new & existing houses) with Daralinn candidates can attend our Conversion Course or All Dwellings Course.
Conversion Course
Complete the CONVERSION (Existing Dwellings) Course. This course is 2 days in duration, with a practical assessment on an existing dwelling. All candidates who have previously successfully completed the NEW DWELLINGS course (>70% pass mark) can sit this course.
Combined BER Course (All Dwellings)
Daralinn Training offer the Combined Building Energy Rating (BER) Assessor Course (FETAC D30189) that will cover all aspects of the knowledge and understanding’ described in the SEI’s learner outcomes and to assist candidates prepare for the assessment.

All students must achieve a 70% marker or greater in each assignment in order to register as a BER Assessor with SEI.
The Assessment Phase
Candidates will be assessed in 3 seperate areas:
4 Case Study Assignments (40%)
10 Short Answer Questions (10%)
Practical BER Assignment (50%)
